Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Anurag Jain, operating as "VIP & Fancy Numbers" in Indore, Madhya Pradesh ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal information when you contact us or use our SIM activation, porting, and number facilitation services ("Services"). Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with it, please do not share your information with us or use our Services.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Contact details you give us directly — name, phone number, WhatsApp number, and address, when you enquire about or order a number.
- KYC documents required for SIM activation or porting — such as a copy of your government-issued photo ID (e.g. Aadhaar, PAN, passport, voter ID, driving licence), address proof, and a passport-size photograph, as mandated by DoT/TRAI regulations.
- Number preferences — the series, pattern, or sum-total combination you're looking for, and your existing mobile number if you're requesting a port-in.
- Communication records — messages and call details exchanged with us over phone or WhatsApp, kept for order tracking and support.
- Payment-related information — such as the amount paid and mode of payment, where relevant to your order. We do not store full card or bank account credentials; payments are handled through the relevant payment channel you use.
2. How we use your information
- To check number availability and process your SIM activation, port-in, merge, or plan-change request.
- To complete mandatory KYC verification with the concerned telecom operator, as required by Indian telecom regulation.
- To communicate with you about the status of your request, including delays, alternative number options, or documentation issues.
- To respond to questions, complaints, or support requests you raise with us.
- To maintain basic records for accounting, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
We do not use your KYC documents or personal data for marketing purposes, and we do not sell your personal information to any third party.
3. Sharing your information
Because SIM activation and porting are regulated processes, some of your information is necessarily shared as part of completing your request:
- Telecom operators — your KYC documents and details are shared with the relevant operator (e.g. for the SIM you're activating or porting to) as legally required for activation and verification.
- Point-of-sale / retailer systems — where activation is processed through an operator's point-of-sale or e-KYC system, your details pass through that system as part of the standard activation flow.
- Regulatory & law-enforcement authorities — where required under DoT/TRAI regulation or by a lawful request from a government or law-enforcement authority.
We do not share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.
4. Data retention
We retain your contact details and order records for as long as reasonably necessary to complete your request, handle any related follow-up or dispute, and meet our own accounting and legal obligations. Copies of KYC documents are retained only as long as needed to complete the activation/porting process and to meet any regulatory record-keeping requirement, after which we take reasonable steps to delete or securely dispose of them.
5. Data security
We take reasonable precautions to protect the information you share with us, including limiting who has access to your documents and avoiding storage of sensitive data beyond what is needed to complete your request. However, no method of transmission over the internet or mobile networks (including WhatsApp) is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending highly sensitive documents through unsecured channels where possible, and let us know if you'd prefer an alternative way to share them.
6. Your choices & rights
- You may ask us what personal information we hold about you related to your order.
- You may ask us to correct inaccurate contact information we hold.
- You may ask us to delete your contact details and documents once your request is complete and no regulatory retention requirement applies.
- You may withdraw from an in-progress request at any time before activation is completed, subject to the cancellation terms in our Terms & Conditions.
To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. Please note that some information (particularly KYC records already shared with a telecom operator) is controlled by that operator once submitted, and requests relating to it may need to be directed to them as well.
7. Children's privacy
Our Services are intended for individuals aged 18 and above who are legally able to hold a mobile connection in their own name. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
8. Cookies & website usage
This website does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics beyond what is required for basic page functionality. If that changes in the future, this section will be updated to describe what is used and why.
9. Changes to this policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. The updated version will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date.
